We were humbled and honoured to receive a cheque recently for the amazing sum of £2,800. This money was raised in memory of little Maddy-Leigh by her loving family.
Maddy-Leigh passed away in February 2019 after suffering major organ failure as a result of undiagnosed type 1 diabetes. She was just 11 years old.
Maddy-Leigh was a bright, pleasant girl who enjoyed baking, drama, dancing and singing. She had been recognised by Action MS, for her fundraising activities in aid of multiple sclerosis, who described her as an ‘absolute star’.
Despite the fact that her family continue to mourn her passing, her granny Jacinta and the rest of the family have rallied round and raised this incredible amount for our group.
We are absolutely overwhelmed by what they have achieved and we are so indebted to them.
Maddy-Leigh’s legacy will endure as we all count our blessings for what we have.
