St. Mary’s Go Blue
Well done to Sarah Jane and all her Primary 7 classmates at St. Mary’s Primary School in Banbridge, who delivered a presentation at their assembly to raise awareness of type 1 diabetes for World Diabetes Day in November. Everyone wore blue, and together they raised an amazing £610 for T1DCAT.
Patricia’s Marathon
Thank you to Patricia Van Der Meyden who raised an amazing £2,300 for T1DCAT by completing the Dublin Marathon in October. Patricia’s daughter, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2021, was the inspiration to run her first marathon.
Thank You Mullaglass
We were delighted to visit Mullaglass Primary School recently to receive a wonderful donation of £155.60. Oliver McCormick, a P7 pupil, arranged for all the children to wear blue to raise awareness on World Diabetes Day. Thank you to principal Mr. Greenaway, Oliver, and all the children for their very kind donation.
Kilkeel Bingo Night
Thank you to Roisin Harper and everyone in The Kilmorey Arms Hotel Kilkeel Bingo group for choosing T1DCAT as the beneficiary of their recent fundraising. We were delighted to receive a wonderful donation of £455.
Non-Uniform Day
Many thanks to Oliver McCormick and all the pupils at Mullaglass Primary School. They held a non-uniform day before Easter and raised £154 for T1DCAT.
Hazel’s Fun Day
T1DCAT would like to thank Sharyn and her daughter Hazel for an amazing donation of £1,400. To mark her first diaversary, Hazel organised a fun day during the recent half term holidays. Everyone who attended had a fantastic time, enjoying the bouncy castles, face painting, cake sales and much more.
Bennett’s Tombola
Thank you to Michelle and Bennett for their wonderful donation. Bennett was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in July. Following that, they decided to hold a raffle during Diabetes Awareness Month, with all proceeds going to T1DCAT. They raised the amazing sum of £1140.

Tri Limits Triathlon
Thank you to the Tri Limits Triathlon Club for choosing T1DCAT as the charity partner for their 2022 TriTyrone Middle Distance triathlon in July. On 21st October, members from their committee met with T1DCAT to present a cheque for the fantastic amount of £1500.
